ContentCache has been developed as an appliance that provides a ‘plug and play’ level of simplicity to the set-up, management and use of the product.

The appliance is managed using the ContentCache web browser interface. From here, the Administrator can carry out all functions needed to configure and monitor the performance of the ContentCache.

Web management features include:

• Appliance configuration and settings
• Cache control to clear and delete cached content
• Web site blocking to prevent access to unsuitable web sites
• Cache bypass to prevent troublesome sites from being cached
• Statistics and reports on cache hit ratio, bandwidth savings and most frequently requested web sites
• Inclusion in a web cache hierarchy
• Control of administrator, teacher and student access rights
