All customers are entitled to 60 days free software upgrades from the date of purchase of their server, including any bug fixes or new software releases issued in that time.

Avantis also offers Software Maintenance Plans or Single Software Upgrades which must be purchased each time a software update is required if there is no Software Maintenance plan in place.
Software Maintenance Plans and Single Software Upgrades can be purchased directly from Avantis within 60 days of purchase of your server, or directly from Avantis or online through Shop@Avantis Support Centre after the 60 day period.

Software Maintenance Plans

Avantis has expanded its Support Pack family of services with the introduction of 'Software Maintenance'. Software Maintenance must be taken out within 60 days of the purchase date of the server..

With a one-off payment customers are entitled to download any software updates (including bug fixes and new software releases) which become available for their server for the duration of the maintenance agreement. Avantis offers one, two and three year Software Maintenance plans. Software Maintenance is available for a maximum of three years from the purchase date of the server.

Customers that do not take out a Software Maintenance Plan may be liable to pay a Single Software Upgrade charge when a software upgrade is required.

Single Software Upgrades

Customers who do not take out a Software Maintenance agreement will be liable to pay a Single Software Upgrade charge when a software upgrade is required. At this time, the customer will also be offered the option to take out a Software Maintenance Plan to cover future software upgrade requirements, but this must be purchased at the same time as the Single Software Upgrade.

Single Software Upgrades also entitle the customer to any new software upgrades released within 60 days of purchase of the upgrade.
